Tiger Woods 'at home' at Honda Classic

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The crowds at The Honda Classic are excited to see their favorite golf stars, but Tiger Woods is arguably drawing the most attention.  Woods spoke to the media about life in South Florida, and what it's like to play The Honda Classic right in his own backyard.

Among the fans lining up to see the golf star, Woods' friends and family are among them.  He says, they don't always get to see him play.

"It's just nice being at home, sleeping in your own bed.  We travel quite a bit for our sport, and spend a lot of time on the road so it's always nice to have time to be able to play and stay home at the same time," he said.

Jupiter is now the pro golfer's home and The Honda Classic is in his own neck of the woods.

"I am starting to get where I use the practice facility at home a lot more to work on the short game.  And it's all putting the pieces together," Woods said.

Unlike other athletes, golfers don't spend half their season on the home green.

"As far as getting out there with the kids, yeah. my little boy, he loves to hit balls with me. And my little girl, Sam, will just kind of run around and pick flowers," Woods said.

When he is home, the pro golfer says, he likes to be with his children.

"My time that I'm here, at home, I don't really have as much time as people would think to practice.  I am focused on my kids and they are the number one priority, and if they are around and I have time with them, then I'm not playing golf."
