Deadly crash on I-95 near Northlake Boulevard takes the life of a 79-year-old man

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A 79-year old man died and one other person was hurt in a three vehicle crash on I-95 in Palm Beach Gardens Tuesday.

It happened just before 11:30 a.m. north of Northlake Boulevard in the northbound lanes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Stephen Michael Quint of Stuart was traveling northbound in a Subaru in the right center lane when he lost control and began to spin in front of a van driven by 40-year-old Sean Christopher Brown of Boca Raton.

The impact pushed them to the right and they struck a Mustang driven by 65-year-old Michael R. Levine of Palm Beach Gardens. All three hit a concrete wall.

The van ended up climbing the wall and stopped with its right wheels overhanging the barrier. Next to it was the Subaru. and the Mustang ended up under the rear of the van.

A passenger in the Subaru, identified as 79-year-old Donald Emery Quint, was transported to Gardens Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Donald Quint received minor injuries.

No one else was hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
