Samantha Deeley charged with DUI and leading police on a high speed chase

Cops: Supect's blood alcohol level 3 times limit

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A West Palm Beach woman has been arrested and charged with leading police on a high speed chase.

Palm Beach Gardens police say that Samantha Deeley rear ended a car at the intersection of PGA Boulevard and North Military Trail while driving her black Dodge Caravan.

Officers say that when the driver called the police Deeley took off towards I-95.

Police say that they approached Deeley when she stopped at the light at the Military Trail entrance to the interstate.

Two officers banged on the window to get Deeley to get out of the minivan but  they say she instead ran a red light and headed north on I-95.

Deeley, according to police, hit speeds of 90 mph and at times was driving in the emergency lanes to pass other cars.

She turned at the Donald Ross exit and police eventually detained her.

Investigators say that Deeley's blood alcohol level was .234 or almost three times the legal limit.

Deeley was booked in to the Palm Beach County Jail on charges of driving under the influence and fleeing the scene of an accident.
