Palm Beach Gardens police are looking for a woman who tried to rob a Wells Fargo Bank

Police: Suspect fled before getting money

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - An attempted bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank at Northlake Blvd and Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens is under investigation by Palm Beach Gardens police.

The incident took place this morning around 9:30 according to police.

Employees at the bank told officer that a woman entered the bank and handed a note to a teller. 

The note, according to police, indicated that the woman was robbing the bank  and implied that she had a bomb.  Investigators say that when the teller called a manager over, the female fled the bank and did not leave with any money. 

The woman, according to police, did not seem to have an explosive device.

Officers say that the suspect was described as a black female around 30-years-old with short black hair and about 5’9” in height with a medium build. 

She was wearing a white hooded pullover long sleeve sweat shirt, a gray shirt, blue jean shorts and purple gloves. 

The woman left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.
