WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The older two girls of three daughters left orphaned after the deaths of their parents will become the guardian of the youngest child.
Lawyers for the Lindsey family have confirmed to NewsChannel 5 that Sarah and Sofia Lindsey were appointed the guardian of Savannah by a Palm Beach County judge.
Sarah, 20, Sofia, 18, and Savannah, 16, are dealing with the murder of their mother Kimberly and the overdose death of their father Albert Lambert.
Kimberly's body was found in a cane field in Hendry County. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said her ex-husband was the top suspect in her murder before he died from an overdose.
A divorce between Lindsey and Lambert had been final since February. Yet just two days before investigators said Lindsey was killed, she and her ex-husband had a tense exchange during a court appearance.
The contentious words occurred during an evidentiary meeting regarding late child support payments.
