Gordon Herbert Savell arrested for the death of Margeaux Greenwald, Palm Beach Gardens police say

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Margeaux Greenwald of Boynton Beach.

Her body was found on Kyoto Drive, just north of PGA Boulevard and west of RCA Center Drive, Saturday.

26-year-old Gordon Herbert Savell of Boynton Beach faces charges of first degree murder, Robbery and Kidnapping, Palm Beach Gardens police say.

Police say the pair was staying at the same residence in Boynton Beach and while Greenwald was under the influence of drugs Savell and another person tied her hands and feet with belts and ties, placed her in large garbage bags and a rain poncho, and stashed her in the trunk of her own car.

While driving north police say Savell began hearing noises in the trunk, so he stopped and bought a baseball bat.

They say when Savell came to a wooded area he and the other person in the car beat Greenwald and then put her dead body behind culverts in an attempt to hide it.

Police say a deputy had pulled Savell over for a traffic violation the day before Greenwald's body was found. The deputy arrested him due to an active warrant for violating probation. Investigators say Savell was driving Greenwald’s car at that time.

He is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail.
