PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A high school teen who has battled cancer is joining other students who are in a mentoring program raise funds for cancer patients.
The athletics, community and education organization, also known as ACE is hosting a walk Saturday morning at Downtown at the Gardens. Joining them will be Joshua Johnson a 15-year-old who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma when he was six.
Two years ago he received a bone marrow transplant and it was costly. The walk will raise funds to help cancer patients.
"There are a lot of families that cannot afford it the medical bills it's hard, even some pills cost like 800 dollars a piece," said Joshua.
After the walk, there will be an Easter egg hunt.
The event will benefit the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
