Early morning chase ends in Palm Beach Gardens

K-9 officer helped corner the suspect

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A massive police chase that started in Riviera Beach ended inside a neighborhood in Palm Beach Gardens.

Just before 3:30 a.m., an overwhelming amount of officers and deputies flooded a subdivision right off Hood Road, just west of Central Boulevard.

Law enforcement officials are not saying why the car was running or why they were chasing after it.

Officers from Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach were involved in the pursuit and subsequent arrest, as were deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Investigators at the scene do not believe the people inside the SUV have been involved in several recent  "bump-and-rob" cases.

One person was arrested. And one man was being treated by EMS. He was believed to have been injured following a bite from a K-9 officer.
