New phone? Don't forget your WPTV app http://bit.ly/pfBNG3
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Anxious Apple customers waited outside the Gardens Mall Friday morning, anticipating the arrival of the iPhone 4S.
Security at the mall noted the crowd was nothing like it was last year, when the iPhone 4 launched.
Apple announced the 4S earlier this month, underwhelming some customers who were hoping for the iPhone 5.
But customers still anticipated its arrival.
Apple says it took more than a million pre-orders in just one day last week.
The company says more than 128 million people use the iPhone worldwide.
The new phone may look identical to the iPhone 4, but it has significant upgrades including a better camera and a faster processor.
