Person transported to hospital after being struck by train in Jupiter early Saturday morning

JUPITER, Fla. - A person sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center after being struck by a train in Jupiter, said Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The person appears to have suffered a limb amputation and was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert patient, Borroto said.
Rescue crews arrived on the scene of the accident, near East Indiantown Road and North Alternate A1A, around 1:35 a.m.
