Jupiter Special Olympics team heads to Orlando area for annual summer games

JUPITER, Fla. - Some special local athletes are getting ready for the biggest competition of their lives.

Ten athletes from the Jupiter Special Olympics team will compete in late May at the annual summer games in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

They'll compete in competitions including, track, shot put, and volleyball.

The Jupiter team will be competing against other teams in Palm Beach County as well as from around the state of Florida.

"It's good exercise, I'm having fun with my friends, and the coaches are really nice," said Morgan Vandeberg.

The team has been practicing twice a week at Jupiter Community High School in preparation for the summer games later this month.
