Driver crashes after heart attack

JUPITER, Fla. - One person has died in a two-vehicle accident on the Florida Turnpike.

It happened in the southbound lanes near Indiantown Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a van had an apparent heart attack and veered into the concrete median.

FHP says the van bounced from the median and hit an unmarked FHP vehicle parked on the shoulder.

The trooper suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Jupiter Medical Center.

Neither the trooper nor the driver who died has been identified.
