Six people were killed, including two children ages 7 and 5, in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on Interstate 95 in Jupiter.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the wreck occurred at 9:35 p.m. on I-95 southbound north of the Indiantown Road exit.

A 2001 Mercury Villager minivan, driven by Heidi Solis-Perez, 33, of Stuart, Fla. was traveling southbound on I-95.

A 2012 Kia Sorento sport-utility vehicle, driven by Sharwen Pierre Louis, 21, of Fort Pierce was also traveling southbound on I-95 in the center lane.

FHP said tread separation occurred on the minivan, causing the driver to lose control.  The vehicle veered to the left and struck a concrete barrier wall.

The minivan rotated off the wall, back into the southbound lanes into the path of the Kia Sorento, which struck the right side of the minivan.

Investigators are still trying to determine how many victims were ejected from the vehicle and if anyone was wearing seatbelts.

Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two victims were pronounced dead at St. Mary's Hospital and one was pronounced dead at Delray Medical Center.

The deceased were all passengers in the minivan and identified as:

* Macareo Julian-Solis, 14, of Stuart
* Marillany Julian-Solis, 5, of Stuart
* Alexander Julian-Solis, 7 of Stuart
* Sandy Julian-Solis, 17, of Stuart
* Andres Perez, 18, of Stuart
* Reynaldo Diaz, 31, of West Palm Beach

A seventh passenger in the minivan, Daisy Julian-Solis, 11, of Stuart was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with serious injuries.  Heidi Solis-Perez was taken to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.

Pierre Louis, the driver of the Sorento, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Martin South Hospital.

The southbound lanes of I-95 were closed for the investigation and opened at 3 a.m. Sunday. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
