JUPITER, Fla. - A call to 911 landed Dashawn Poteat in the Palm Beach County Jail.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says that on Wednesday they were called to the Dunkin' Donuts on Indiantown Road in Jupiter.
Deputies say that Poteat had originally called 911 about a dispute he was having with his aunt and was told to call back on a non emergency line.
Poteat, according to deputies, was complaining that he did not want his aunt to continue to pick up his paycheck from Dunkin' Donuts.
Deputies told Poteat that this was a civil matter and he should take care of it himself.
Poteat said that he was then going to call 911 and was told not to by PBSO.
Investigators say that he told the deputies " (expletive) take me to jail, I've been arrested before, I'm call 911."
Poteat was arrested and charged with misusing 911.
