Manatees draw a crowd in Juno Beach

JUNO BEACH, Fla. -  Several manatees drew a crowd in Juno Beach.

YouReporter Jennifer spotted them and not only took a photograph, but video as well.

There were eight manatees frolicking in shallow water.

Biologists at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed to NewsChannel 5 that what Jennifer and others on the beach saw as a 'mating herd.'
FWC reminds the public to always watch manatees from a distance and avoid personal contact with them.

And if you ever need to report a manatee in distress-- or some other problem-- call the FWC's Wildlife Alert Hotline at 1-888-404-FWCC.
