Eleven-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater was seen at the Juno Beach Fishing Pier on Wednesday around 3 p.m.

Slater was seen paddling out and surfing for a bit.  The small, choppy waves were only about two to three feet, but he was seen ripping them! Jason Griffis whipped out his iphone and was there and was one of the only people to get video of a couple waves, he posted it on his facebook page.

Photographer Jeff Biege was there with his camera and caught King Kelly in action.

"I have had the good fortune to see him surf a few times in my life, but what a treat to watch and photograph him ripping up our local break! Good stuff;" Biege posted on Facebook.

A crowd started gathering and the champ was nice enough to take selfies with many stoked fans. Social media lit up with photos from all the locals.

No word on why he was down here but I know he does have some friends in the area. He flew out Friday morning, probably heading to Fiji to practice up for the next event.  The next stop on the ASP World Tour is the Fiji Pro that runs June 1-13.  Currently, Slater is ranked No. 1 on the world tour.
