PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - In the middle of the crowd at PGA National, Harriette Steele and her husband took in Sunday's final round.
"This to me is heaven. That's the only way I can describe it," said Steele.
The Steeles, who hail from Rockford, Ill., won a free trip to the Honda Classic from Tire Kingdom through a Facebook contest.
Family photos show huge snowbanks back home.
"If we're not getting 5 inches of snow, we're below zero and freezing. It's one or the other, not missing Rockford a bit right now," said Harriette Steele.
The Steeles certainly weren't alone on Sunday soaking in the tournament.
"The growth of the event is spectacular. The amount of people at every location on the golf course is definitely a lot thicker than in the past," said Tournament Director Ed McEnroe.
Popular spots on the course like the "Bear Trap" on the back nine had to eventually be closed off because of the crowds.
Official attendance won't be known before Monday, but for Steele and her husband, she wouldn't mind a return trip next year.
