Two seriously injured in separate Martin County crashes

MARTIN COUNTY — Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after two separate accidents, including one on Florida's Turnpike, Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The first, at 12:40 p.m., was a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Pomeroy Street and Willoughby Boulevard in the Stuart area, according to Martin County Fire Rescue. One seriously injured person was taken to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce.
Then at 1:38 p.m., a single car was involved in a rollover accident in a northbound lane of the Florida Turnpike near Hobe Sound. One person was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center in Palm Beach County. A second occupant was treated for minor injuries at the medical center, according to fire rescue.
