Trees down, flooding in Sewall's Point

The town of Sewall's Point is urging residents to remain inside Friday morning.

On South River Road trees snapped in half, and debris and limbs are covering the road.

The town said trees are down throughout the community. 

One family with 12 relatives said they were not comfortable evacuating so they put up shutters and said it was an uncomfortable night.

"It was a scary night. We didn't sleep all night.We have old people in the house, you know, and it was a very scary night," a homeowner said.

The town reported that South Sewall's Point Road is flooded south of #68.
