Wilbert Galletti-Quiros arrested for machete assault in Stuart, police say

STUART, Fla. - Wilbert Galletti-Quiros was arrested on Sunday for aggravated assault with a machete, Stuart police said.

According to an arrest affidavit, Galletti-Quiros and James Ledbetter got into a verbal argument at 834 E 6th Street in Stuart.

Galletti-Quiro grabbed a machete from the garage and allegedly chased James Ledbetter out of the residence into the backyard, according to to the arrest affidavit.

Police say Galletti–Quiros swung the machete,  just missing Ledbetter's face.

Galletti-Quiros was transported to Martin County Jail where he was held on a $2,500.00 bond.

He faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
