Hundreds come out for family fun at the 'Barbecue and Beer Festival' in Stuart Saturday

STUART, Fla. - The smell of delicious barbecue is in the air in Stuart this weekend. Hundreds turned out at the Martin County Fairgrounds for the third annual Barbecue and Beer Festival.

The two-day event was truly smoking as dozens of local grill masters battled to see who makes the best barbecue.CL

Some of the contestants even crossed state lines to compete.

Brenda Humphrey, a barbecue enthusiast said,  "Well if you like barbecue this is the place to be. I mean it smells awesome and I'm going to get me a really big sandwich "

The family fun event featured a moon bounce, face painting, and a corn hole tournament pitting fire-rescue against the Sheriff's Office.
