9/11 survivor reacts to bin Laden prayer request

9/11 survivor: Let God be the final judge

PALM CITY, Fla. - A 9/11 survivor has something to say about a parishioner's prayer request for Osama bin Laden.

Stan Mennuto of Palm City said, "I was very disturbed by that. I mean it sickens me."

Mennuto is referring to the Catholic Mass intention scheduled for Sunday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in West Palm Beach.

Parishioner Henry Borga's made the request for bin Laden's name to be added to the prayer list for this Sunday's service.

Mennuto was the director of information technology for Keefe, Bruyette and Woods.

His company was on the 88th and 89th floor of the World Trade Center's south tower.

Only 35 company employees out of 102 made it out alive when terrorists flew planes into the the twin towers on September 11th, 2001.

Talking about the prayer request, Mennuto said, "Why not put the those nearly 3,000 people on that prayer request, why just him?"

Mennuto says he believes in God, but doesn't agree with showing compassion for bin Laden, whom he calls evil.

"I feel he got what he deserved. You know, I don't feel he deserves our prayers," said Mennuto.

He added, "Let God be the final judge."
