Martin County Sheriff's Office rescues bunny

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. - A baby bunny is resting with wildlife experts after Martin County Sheriff's Office employees found the bunny in distress Thursday morning.

According to a Facebook post by the Martin County Sheriff's Office, the bunny was "lost, scared and shivering" when Director of Community Programs and Emergency Management, Stephen Leighton, found him.

The bunny had made its way into the sheriff's fleet maintenance department and was clearly in distress. \

Leighton turned the bunny over to wildlife caretakers.
