Treasure Coast Black Friday shoppers bargain-hunt all day

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. - Amber Michaloski has been marathon shopping all Black Friday.

"I started shopping at 11:30 p.m. last night," she explained.

More than eighteen hours later, she's still bargain-hunting.

"Exhausted. I'm ready to go home and go to sleep," she said, with a laugh.

She said she didn't even scratch her $400 limit.

"I bought two pairs of pants for $15 each from Old Navy," Michaloski said proudly. "I got three scarves for $5 each. The best deals you're gonna find are in the mall."

The Treasure Coast Square Mall opened its doors at midnight to hundreds of eager shoppers just like Michaloski, who lined up to be the first ones to . But others, like Tasha Marankus, wait until crowds die down, to sacrifice lower prices for fewer lines.

"A lot of the people that came out for those great deals that are going to push you and shove and are just going to act like you are another piece of merchandise, are already gone," said Marankus.

Michaloski said it's worth it-- for bang for your buck, Black Friday can't be beat, but she admits you have to be prepared to wait.

"Old Navy was the longest line I stood in. I stood there for two-and-a-half hours," said Michaloski.
