HUTCHINSON ISLAND, Fla. - Two people were caught Wednesday by Martin County sheriff's deputies in connection with the armed robbery of a Subway on Hutchinson Island.
Police have identified the pair as Jamie Hogue and Leonard Atterson of Indiana.
Just after 6 p.m., MCSO said a man walked into the shop, told the clerk he had a gun and proceeded to rob the store.
Witnesses gave a description of the suspect and the get-a-way vehicle driven by a woman.
Within minutes, law enforcement spotted the vehicle. The suspects jumped out and started to run, but didn't get far before being caught. The female suspect had $499 hidden in her bra, said MSCO.
They told deputies they are from Indiana and were passing through Martin County when they decided to rob the store.
Atterson also has a warrant out for his arrest for making meth in Indiana. The tag on their vehicle was also stolen.
