Four-vehicle crash on I-95 near Hobe Sound sends 2 to hospital

Southbound lanes reopen

HOBE SOUND, Fla. - Two people have been hospitalized after a four-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Hobe Sound on Wednesday night, according to Dan Hashburger, spokesman for Martin County Fire Rescue.

The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. near Bridge Road. Three southbound lanes were closed for almost two hours.

One person met trauma alert criteria and was taken by ground to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach. The second person was taken to Martin Memorial Medical Center. There is no word on their condition.

All lanes reopened by 11 p.m.
