Heavy winds are wrecking havoc on our beaches, especially the ones still recovering from Hurricane Matthew.
Just a few weeks ago Ordelia Arguta found Bathtub Beach to be in good shape, now she's noticing a big difference.
As a realtor along the Treasure Coast, she says beach erosion is a big fear.
"People love it and we know that they love it so it is a concern," says Arguta.
The beaches at Carlin Park are even worse.
"Beaches are smaller and smaller. More rocks than I've ever seen," says Mark Moan.
County Coastal Engineers are monitoring the winds and beach erosion,
Vincent Encomio with the Florida Oceanographic Society says the recent winds may have more of an impact than Matthew.
"Impacting those restoration projects that coupled with higher than normal water levels we get typically this time of year."
Indian River County was hit the hardest by the hurricane. Their coastal engineer says they have already begun restoring their beaches.
