MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. - A carpenter with the Martin County School District is accused of taking thousands of dollars in copper wiring and tools.
Investigators say 44-year-old Harry Haberman of Stuart stole copper wiring from the ceiling of Indiantown Middle School and tools from his school board employer.
The thefts happened between February and June of this year, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators accuse Haberman of trying to pawn the stolen items.
He's charged with five-counts of dealing in stolen property and 5-counts of false verification and is being held on $75,000 bond.
