Vero Beach city council heard discussions to extend the hours when alcohol can be served

VERO BEACH, Fla. - Several bars and restaurants in Vero Beach are asking the city council to extend hours they are allowed to serve alcohol.

A first reading of the proposal happened at today's council meeting.

Under the current city ordinance, businesses must stop serving and selling alcohol at 1 a.m. But under the new proposal, that would be extended to 2 a.m.
