A loaded gun, several drugs and nearly $1,000 was confiscated following a search at a residence in Vero Beach Wednesday, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives say they found a loaded .38 revolver, crack cocaine, heroin, pills, marijuana, and $932 in cash when they executed a search warrant in the 500 block of 7th Place.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Gardy Blot.

"Our detectives purchased heroin and prescription pain medication from Blot as part of this investigation. When our detectives served the search warrant on Blot's house yesterday, neighbors thanked them for closing down this drug house operating in an otherwise peaceful neighborhood,” Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said in a news release.

Blot faces several drug-related charges along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

His bond was set at $160,000.
