An Indian River County murder suspect is now wanted by the FBI.

Vero Beach police believe Edward Geovani Guardado Gamez shot two brothers outside their Vero Beach home last month, killing one.

Police believe Gamez, of Fellsmere, fled with his girlfriend Maria and their children. They were later found safe in North Carolina.

Police say she is cooperating but they still don't know where Gamez is heading next.

Vero Beach police say that they obtained arrest warrants charging Gamez with First Degree Murder with a Firearm and Attempted First Degree Murder with a Firearm.

He is wanted by the FBI for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Police suspect he's driving a white sedan and they say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI at 772.461.6142 or the Vero Beach Police Department at 772.978.4600.
