Drugs, runaway found during search of Vero Beach motel room; 2 arrested

VERO BEACH — A sheriff’s monitoring of motels led to the arrest of two people on drug charges and the finding of a runaway 17-year-old girl, according to arrest reports.

In the room, at the Quality Inn in the 900 block of U.S. 1, investigators found a used syringe, three burned marijuana cigarettes and metal spoons with white residue on them, according to the reports. The search was done early Wednesday by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement.

Arrested were William Watson, 34, and Calista Krasotkin, 30, whose addresses were listed at Room 115 at the motel. When Watson was taken to the jail, searchers allegedly found cocaine and marijuana in his socks.

He is being held in lieu of a $26,000 bail. Krasotkin is being held without bail on drug charges and for violation of probation on cases of drug possession and organized fraud.
