A fatal collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle kept Aviation Boulevard almost six hours Thursday morning.
The road was closed in both directions between U.S. 1 and the County Administration Building, which caused delays for morning commuters.
Names of those involved haven't been released.
According to Police spokesman Officer John Morrison, at about 5 a.m. an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by an 76-year-old motorist, apparently veered into the path of the westbound motorcycle, killing the 24-year-old motorcycle driver.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of relatives. The condition and name of the pickup driver hasn't been released.
Investigators remain on the scene. During the closure, eastbound traffic on Aviation Boulevard is being diverted south through the county's parking lot.
This will be updated as more information becomes available.
