A Pensacola woman, Ashley Taylor Wright, has been arrested after authorities say they tried arrest her for shoplifting and she threw the baby at a deputy as she tried to escape.
SEBASTIAN — Detectives charged a second man in an ongoing investigation after a teenage girl said she was grabbed and recorded on video while she was in the shower last month, Sebastian police said.
That video was posted on the Facebook account of the girl detectives described as the victim, detectives said. Police spokesman Officer Steve Marcinik said the men charged in the case told detectives the incident was a prank that went wrong.
Saturday, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office took Robert Michael Boysel, 19, into custody while he attended an open house party in the 1000 block of 17th Place Southwest, Vero Beach. Sebastian police last week issued warrants for Boysel, whose address was unknown, for felony child abuse and misdemeanor video voyeurism.
Last month, Bradley Scott Hess, 24, of the 10000 block of Mulberry Street, Sebastian, was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation. Police said on April 21, a teenage girl was taking a shower at a home. Hess reached into the shower through a window and grabbed the girl while Boysel recorded the incident, using someone else's cellphone, detectives said.
The girl previously had used that cellphone to access her Facebook account, police said. After the shower, someone used the phone to post the video on her Facebook page, detectives said.
Hess remained at the Indian River County Jail on Monday in lieu of $18,500 bail. Boysel was being held at the jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
