Joshua Higgins charged with violently reacting when asked to stop playing video games

FELLSMERE, Fla. - A Fellsmere man has been arrested after police said he became violent because a person in his house asked him to stop playing video games.

Officers said that they were called to a disturbance Tuesday night at Sunrise Square.

Police said Joshua Higgins is accused of becoming violent when he asked by the victim to stop playing video games.

According to investigators, Higgins allegedly began to yell, grabbed the victim's cellphone, smashed it on the floor and threw things around the house in front of a 2-year-old child.

Police said that  Higgins allegedly ripped the victim's shirt by grabbing it and punched the person in the ribs and head.

Higgins was arrested and transported to the Indian River County Jail without incident.
