VERO BEACH, Fla. - Authorities have named a suspect in a recent Vero Beach birthday party shooting that injured three teens.
The Indian River County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrants Friday for 23-year-old Jarvis Demetrius Gaskin.
According to investigators, Gaskin shot three teens Aug. 24 while at a 17-year-old's birthday party in the 900 block of 34th Ave. SW.
Witnesses told authorities, Gaskin was seen dancing with a gun in his hand by the host of the party. When the guests were asked to leave, Gaskin became angry and shot into the house, striking three teens, according to investigators.
Two teens ages 18 and 19 suffered superficial wounds and were treated and released from Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
The third victim, 17 was initially in serious condition after surgery but is now listed in stable condition.
Gaskin is wanted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 3 counts of attempted second degree murder, discharging a firearm causing great bodily harm and shooting a deadly missile.
Gaskin is described as a black man with brown eyes and black hair, weighing 185 pounds and 5 feet 9 inches.
His last known address is in the 2100 block of North 43rd St. in Fort Pierce.
