Dominique Wilcox-Brownlee: St. Lucie woman accused of stabbing man in head in Vero Beach

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Deputies said they have arrested a St. Lucie County woman accused of stabbing a man in the head Sunday night.

The incident happened in the 400 block of 13th Street Southwest, Vero Beach, about 11:30 p.m., the Indian River County Sheriff's Office said.

Detectives said Dominique Wilcox-Brownlee, 21, stabbed a 21-year-old man twice in the head and twice on his leg during an argument.

Wilcox-Brownlee fled in her car, which was located a few blocks from where the attack happened, a representative of the sheriff's office said.

The wounded man was treated at Indian River Medical Center and released Monday.

Wilcox-Brownlee, was arrested Monday around 9 p.m.  She went to Indian River Medical Center to be treated for an injury and claimed it occurred during the altercation on Sunday. 

Medical staff notified the sheriff's office of Wilcox-Brownlee's presence at the hospital.

After being treated and released, she was arrested on charges of attempted murder and armed trespassing.  Her bond was set at $750,000.
