The search continues for two children, considered missing and endangered, traveling in the company of their father, who's wanted on murder charges.

Clothes are drying on the line outside a Fellsmere home on North Oak Street.  No one inside the home would say whether anything belonged to Edward Gamez, his girlfriend, or of his two young children,  4 year-old Edward and 10-month old Lizeht.

Neighbor Jack Bystrak says the home had been vacant for years and was only recently fixed up in the past few months.

“I saw one female maybe with a couple of kids and mostly adult males, at least five I’d say," said Bystrak.

But presented with the pictures of the missing family,  Bystrak couldn’t for sure say those were the people he had seen.

Police say Edward Gamez is accused of shooting two brothers in Vero Beach last week, killing one of them.

“We’re following leads to include in state and out of state.”  We’re hoping to locate him, hopefully soon," said Vero Beach Police Chief David Currey.

Investigators say there had been a brewing feud over whether the victim, 26 year-old Alejandro Baldanado, was romantically involved with Gamez’s girlfriend.

"There were words and an exchange of words over a couple month period apparently between the two and some of the family and friends," said Chief Currey.

This Missing and Endangered child alert was put out Tuesday by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Police don’t think the parents will harm the children, but there is concern over what could happen when there’s a future confrontation with law enforcement.

Police also said they are no longer searching for a vehicle.  They say the pickup Gamez was driving the night of the shooting was borrowed and left in the K-Mart Plaza on US 1.  It's unclear though who picked up Gamez from that location.  If you spot the family, call law enforcement.
