A man convicted of causing a deadly DUI crash last year was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
William Melendez already had four felony convictions and spent time in jail twice before this conviction.
Last October, David Odom, 39, died in a four-car crash on Military Trail in West Palm Beach that was caused by Melendez.
The prosecutor originally suggested a 20-year sentence, but due to Melendez’s criminal past, the sentence was raised another five years.
