Zenogio Aguilar Costas: Traveling minister accused of sexual assault on 11-year-old girl

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A traveling minister visiting West Palm Beach on a temporary Visa is accused of performing a sexual act on an 11-year-girl, according to police.

According to an arrest report, Zenogio Aguilar Costas, 56, performed the sexual act on his great-niece Sunday, and her 14-year-old brother witnessed the incident.

The victim told police that her great uncle, Costas, was visiting from Bolivia. She said she met him for the first time earlier this week, according to the report.

The child told detectives Costas woke her up while she was asleep on the couch, covered her with his personal blanket, kissed her forehead and said "God bless you."

The next morning, while she was eating oatmeal, the victim told police Costas entered the kitchen and began feeding her the oatmeal.

The child said she later put a pillow in her pajama pants and danced around the house. That's when she said Costas followed her into the living room, pulled the pillow out of her pants and placed his left hand inside her underwear, the report states.

The victim's brother told police he was sitting on the couch during the incident, and witnessed the sexual abuse.

Costas later admitted to police that he helped remove the pillow from the child's pants, but denied the sexual act, the report states. He said his hand accidentally touched the girl's genitals.

Costas was charged with the sexual assault by a person 18 years of age or older on a victim under the age of 12.

He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Sunday.
