Many people in the Caribbean are in need after Hurricane Maria.
Thursday, September 21, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., WPTV and the Red Cross teamed up to raise money to help those affected by the powerful storm.
The money you donated will ensure the people in distress get the assistance they need.
Viewers called 1-800-345-WPTV (9788) between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to make their donation.
Nearly $7,000 was raised during that time span although the final numbers are still being tallied.
