WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Less than a month after it sued Dollar General for selling food, Winn-Dixie has sued Big Lots for doing the same thing.
In the lawsuit filed last week in federal court, the grocery chain claims that as an anchor tenant at various shopping centers throughout the state, it has the exclusive right to sell food.
Big Lots, it claims, is violating that exclusivity. It is seeking an injunction and damages of at least $75,000.
Big Lots, which is based in Columbus, Ohio, wasn't immediately available for comment.
