WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - West Palm Beach police say there will be more arrests following several break-ins on the city's South End.
Five people have been arrested so far, including three minors.
Following the break-ins, Mayor Jeri Muoio said officers increased patrols in the area and gave advice to residents.
"What the police department has done is notify the residents that there has been a spike. They have given them some tips on how to keep their house safe. Make sure your doors are locked. Make sure your alarms are on," said Muoio.
The mayor did not say how long the increased patrols would last.
According to the neighborhood association website, the South End encompasses Southern Boulevard to the north, the Lake Worth spillway to the south, the Intracoastal Waterway to the east and the Florida East Coast Railway tracks to the west.
