West Palm Beach police respond to 3 locations overnight, including at least one possible shooting

Police responded to three possible crime scenes overnight in West Palm Beach.

WPTV crews saw more than 20 evidence markers on the pavement near 13th Street and Tamarind Avenue. Each one possibly marking a shell casing. 

 

At 10:04 p.m. Monday, police said two men were involved in a dispute, which resulted in an armed confrontation between.

One man shot the other, which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to the victim. That person was transported to a local hospital where police said he should recover.

The other subject was not injured.  Police said they are not searching for any suspects in connection with this case. This investigation is ongoing at this time.

A police sergeant told NewsChannel 5 the public is not in danger at this time.

Nearby, officers taped off a house on 15th Street. The police department has not given us information about what happened at that location.

At St. Mary’s Medical Center, a car with at least one shattered window pulled up to the emergency room entrance.

A Riviera Beach police spokesperson said a person in that car was involved in a shooting in the city. Investigators have not yet revealed where the shooting took place.

A crime scene unit from Riviera Beach focused on the sedan with the broken window. But police have not said exactly how it was involved in the shooting, or whether officers have arrested anyone.
