West Palm Beach man, 38, admits to police he downloaded child porn

A 38-year-old suburban West Palm Beach man is being held behind bars in lieu of $100,000 bail after he admitted to investigators that he downloaded child porn on his computer.

Christopher Anderson was arrested Tuesday and is facing 20 counts of possession of obscene material.

An investigator with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was able to track Anderson down through his IP address while searching through the ICAC's database in February, a probable cause affidavit says.

On July 23, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge John Kastrenakes signed a search warrant for Anderson's home and the investigator executed the warrant Tuesday.

Anderson told the investigator that all the computers in his bedroom were his and that he used eMule to download files, including ones containing child porn, the affidavit says.

He even told the investigator the keywords he used to search for the porn: "boy + boy", "boy video", "boy gay" and said he searched for boys ages 10 to 20.

The investigator found numerous child pornography files on Anderson's computer.

Anderson also admitted to having oral sex with a boy between the ages of 13 and 15 while he was in his late 20s, the affidavit says.

He said the sexual acts occurred twice a month for more than a year.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff's spokeswoman did not know if that claim is being investigated.
