The Walk Now for Autism Speaks was held Sunday in downtown West Palm Beach.

The annual walk aims to raise awareness and money to benefit autism research.

Autism is now the fastest growing developmental disability in the United States.

According to Autism Speaks Regional Director, Ann Gibbons, 1 in 88 children will be newly diagnosed with autism.

Gibbons says early intervention is vital.
