Two banks robbed Saturday morning in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - West Palm Beach police are looking for two suspects in two different bank robberies that occurred Saturday morning.

The first robbery happened around 9:22 a.m. at BB&T Bank at 971 Village Boulevard. Police received a second call close to noon of another bank robbery, this time at the Chase Bank on the 10000 block of Northlake Boulevard.

The suspect in the BB&T bank is a black female, between 5-feet 3 inches and 5-feet 5 inches tall and around 120 to 130 pounds. She is believed to be in her mid-20s with short light brown, red or bleached hair. She was wearing a green-and-black baseball hat, large sunglasses, a red long-sleeve shirt and tight blue jeans. She had gray or black shin-high boots and was carrying a large purse.

The woman passed a note to the teller demanding money. She got away with $480. No getaway vehicle was seen at the scene, according to the West Palm Beach Police Department.

The suspect in the Chase Bank is a black male, who is believed to have acted alone. He implied he had a weapon during the robbery, according to Capt. David Bernhardt, spokesman for city police.

No one was injured in either robbery and both suspects are still on the loose, Bernhardt said.
