Is the trolley line between the Palm Beach Outlets, downtown West Palm Beach and Northwood in jeopardy?
The city says the Outlets no longer wants to pay for a new trolley line.
The blue line route was being funded by three groups, including the Outlets.
City leaders say they will try to convince the mall to reconsider.
For its part the Outlets released the following statement:
“Palm Beach Outlets is a supporter of the trolley idea and to that end we financially committed to a six-month trial period with Molly’s Trolleys and not only did we fulfill that commitment, we actually extended our obligation by one month. We didn’t plan for trolley services in the slower summer months and are looking forward to resuming our partnership in the fall.”
