WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Three people were injured on Wednesday evening following a four-car crash in Suburban West Palm Beach, said Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Rescue crews say all vehicles involved in the accident that happened on Kirk Road and Summit Boulevard sustained heavy damage, said Borroto.
As a result of the damage, the jaws of life were used to cut the trapped occupants out of the cars, Borroto said.
The crash happened at 6:40 p.m.
One patient with serious injuries was transported to Delray Beach Medical Center by Trauma Hawk, while the second patient who suffered minor injuries was taken to JFK Medical Center, Borroto said.
There was also a third patient who was treated on the scene.
