Suspicious package investigated at Marines Reserve Training Center; determined not to be a threat

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is clearing the scene after a suspicious package was reported at the U.S. Marines Corps Reserve Training Center.

It's located at 1227 Marine Drive in suburban West Palm Beach, north of Palm Beach International Airport.

The sheriff's office says a package that had been delivered had been dropped and leaked white powder.

As a result, PBSO temporarily shut down roads north of Belvedere  from 5th Street to Country Club Road.

Investigators later said the package tested negative, and began reopening the area.
